A Healthy Pineal Gland

As 2012 approaches, humanity will soon be entering times of great change and tumult. There will be an increase in calamity upon the earth and significant upheaval in the affairs of nations. However, even in the midst of the difficult days approaching, Pastor Sheryl has taught there will be an opportunity to ascend to a higher way of living by emulating the ways of past Masters who spoke of love and unity. Because of its importance to man’s physical and spiritual well being, she states that one key to our acension is having an “open” and normal functioning pineal gland. Unfortunately, there are adverse factors in our modern society that directly influence the health of this significant gland. Specifically, scientific research has determined that fluoride, which is found in many commercial products and about 70% of the public water supplies in the USA (and some other countries), has a very detrimental affect on the pineal gland.

The pineal gland is a small, pine cone shaped endocrine gland that lies between the two hemispheres of the brain. Dr. Mercola, a respected expert on human health matters, states that one of the primary roles of the pineal gland is to produce melatonin which is key to our normal sleep function. Melatonin also combats free radicals in our bodies and regulates the onset of puberty. If the pineal gland is not functioning well, melatonin production suffers, and an individual risks contracting a variety of serious health conditions. Dr. Mercola’s comments were taken from his August, 2011, article,”The Healthy Drink that May Destroy Your Sleep“, in which he presents the harmful affects of flouride on the pineal gland. More from this piece is referenced below.

As noted previously, the pineal gland plays a key role in not only our physical health, but also our spiritual advancement, or awakening. Author Paul Fassa notes in his June, 2009, article titled “A Fluoride-Free Pineal Gland is More Important than Ever,” the pineal gland is considered to be “a portal to the inner or higher self,” and “the link for inter dimensional experiences.” The pineal gland is also associated with the sixth chakra and is referred to our third eye which Fassa adds, “…is a doorway to higher consciousness and bliss.”

The pineal gland has been of interest for centuries. For example, Galen, a famous Roman physician described it in the 3rd century and the philosopher Rene Descartes (1596-1656) also wrote about it extensively. According to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosopy, “The pineal gland…played an important role in Descartes’ philosophy. He regarded it as the principal seat of the soul and the place in which all our thoughts are formed.”

Up until the last decade of the 20th century, no scientific research had ever been conducted that studied the potential impact of fluoride on the pineal gland. This changed with the pioneering work performed at the University of Surrey in England by Dr. Jennifer Luke. Fassa reported the following:

“During the late 1990′s in England, a scientist by the name of Dr. Jennifer Luke undertook the first study the effects of sodium fluoride on the pineal gland. She determined that the pineal gland, located in the middle of the brain, was a target for fluoride. The pineal gland simply absorbed more fluoride than any other physical matter in the body, even bones.” The results of Dr. Luke’s research were of major importance as again Fassa commented, “Her study provided the missing link to a lot of physiological damage from sodium fluoride that had been hypothesized but not positively connected. A veritable root source for the chain reaction of blocked endocrine activity had been isolated.”

After Dr. Luke’s breakthrough research linking fluoride with pineal gland calcification, scientists began to research the issue in greater depth. The National Research Council upheld Luke’s findings in a 2006 report titled, “Flouride in Drinking Water: A Scientific Review of EPA’s Standards.,” In the summary it stated, “…Recent information on the role of the pineal organ in humans suggests that any agent that affects pineal function could affect human health in a variety of ways, including effects on sexual maturation, calcium metabolism, parathyroid function, postmenopausal osteoporosis, cancer, and psychiatric disease.”

In Dr. Mercola’s article noted above, he commented, “When Pineal Gland Stress Leads, Disease Follows: Any form of pineal gland stress is concerning due to its integral role in your body…One form of pineal gland stress is known as pineal gland calcification — the cause of which may be shocking to you. Sodium fluoride, present in your drinking water and certain store-bought products, and other sources such as Prozac (fluoxetine), fluoroquinolone antibiotics and non-stick cookware could all be contributing to the alarming increase in pineal gland calcification.”

In addition, Dr. Mercola stated, “…The connection between pineal gland calcification and fluoride intake may very well be one of the most vital pieces of information in the fight against water fluoridation…. we now have major universities discovering that your pineal gland is a primary target of fluoride accumulation in your body.”

Another study performed in 1999 noted that girls in the United States were reaching puberty at earlier ages than ever before. Dr Mercola again comments, “_Could pineal gland calcification be the cause of early puberty in young girls? As mentioned earlier, the major study performed by the University of Surrey in England says absolutely YES. The connection between gland calcification and an early onset of puberty was even mentioned as a main point in the study’s summary by Dr. Luke….We have known all of this time about the correlation between fluoride exposure and early puberty, yet there has been little coverage of the subject!”

Finally, Sayer Ji discussed the harmful effects of flouride on the pineal gland in his November 4, 2011, Infowars.com article, “Flouride: Calcifier of the Soul.” He states, “…the pineal gland is a unique brain structure insofar as it is not protected by the blood-brain-barrier. This may also explain why it is uniquely sensitive to calcification via fluoride exposure.” Ji also noted, “If Prozac and other sources of fluoride in our environment deposits within the pineal gland, accelerating the transformation of functional pineal tissue into calcification, is it possible that it works by dehumanizing and flattening the affect of those who are under its influence?”

In summary, Pastor Sheryl has taught that the calcificiation of our pineal gland hinders not only our physical health, but also our spiritual ascension. As presented above, scientific research has found that calcification of the pineal gland from flouride intake is very harmful to an individual’s health. As explained by Sayer Ji, all are encouraged to avoid exposure to flouride, “…by being careful about surreptitious forms of fluoride in Teflon, foods and beverages produced with muncipal water, tap water, infant formula, fluoride containing drugs like Prozac, toothpaste, etc.” In addition to her presenting the dangers of flouride to our pineal glands, members of the Oneness Foundation have also benefited from Pastor Sheryl’s teachings that include meditation technicques designed to aide in its decalcification. Fassa notes that the pineal gland is, “…vital for supporting intuition, an ability that will be needed during hard times. So it is necessary to evolve spiritually,” and encourages, “…health, meditation and spiritual growth by maintaining a fluoride free pineal gland. 2012 is approaching. Time to get in shape!”

Animal Instinct – The Pineal Gland

Instinctively human beings have a curiosity about spiritual things. We all know that to some degree spiritual things exist and occur. We see it in everything from the way some children are simply exceptional to the way we think some people just have a certain quality or air that makes them special. We also see it in animals. Dolphins, owls, and felines have something that speaks to us on a deeper level than what we would expect. How do they seem to know what humans can hardly even express? It’s deeper knowledge, intuition, instinct.

Recent studies show a physiological explanation to what we call animal instinct. It is a receptor in the brain called the pineal gland . In animals the pineal gland is larger and thereby higher functioning than in humans.

Before I go on with the discussion of animal instinct let me tell you a little bit about the Pineal gland. In ancient times the Pineal gland was believed to be an acorn or pine shaped gland, and seen in modern times as the third eye. It was described by Rene Descartes as the seat of the soul, and has been used in many cultures to aid in communing with Spirit. Why should animals be blessed with higher functioning Pineal glands than humans? Well, in a not so subtle way, we could call it karma. Humans are reaping what we have sown. We have depleted our own soil, polluted our own air, and worse of all we have tortured those whom we are to have cared for the most, animals. Animals are our neighbors whom we are admonished to love. Why should they not have a greater advantage in things of the Spirit when they have sacrificed so much at our hands? They have lost their homes, their food sources, their natural lifestyles because of our selfishness. And we have become more ignorant of why we are truly here.

Our awakening must now come through these animals that we can easily serve and love. They will teach us to awaken our Pineal gland through the love we share with them, or we can choose to die in our arrogance of thinking we are superior. You’ve heard the stories of dogs barking before the earthquake hits, cats dialing 9-1-1, and pet birds throwing themselves at the window pane to alert someone of a dying owner. Animals know way more than we give them credit for, especially pertaining to the unseen worlds. Now we must see them and hear what it is they are saying to us about who we really are.

Paradigm Shift

Have you ever had a paradigm shift in your life? Most of us don’t even know what a paradigm is. I didn’t. It is a radical change in your beliefs or theories of something. Or in other words, it is a time where what you once believed in something so whole heartedly to be correct, so right in fact that you would stand behind it no matter what. Then someone comes along and either shows you a different way or prompts you to look at things from a different perspective, and it so changes your life due to its truth, that you turn 180 degrees and follow this new direction.

It is amazing how society has directed us to their way of thinking, many times leading us away from what is ultimately right and true to be swayed toward their perspective. For instance have you ever played the game where you whisper a phrase or sentence into a person’s ear, then they do the same thing to the next person, and it goes around the room and it comes back to you something completely different from what you started with? It changes based on each individual perspective of what they have heard and how they passed it on.

For years we have been guided by our mothers, fathers, teachers, and preachers. Most of the time what they have passed on has been in good faith, teaching what they have been taught by their elders, and how they may have changed it slightly to fit their perspective. It is no longer the same as the original. I’m going to now add pharmaceutical companies, and most of the time they are not in your best interest what they want you to do. Have you ever watched a television commercial and been told that you need this particular drug to correct this particular problem? Ever read the known side effects?

In the time I have been with this ministry, Pastor Sheryl Walker has challenged me to seek the truth in a variety of different areas of my life to say the least. One of which being the foods we eat. The deeper a person looks into the Standard American Diet (SAD), the more we have bought into a system that is literally either killing us earlier in life, or a prolonged life of disability and pain, dependent on the pharmaceutical industry to keep us alive and minimally functional.

The book of Daniel had the big picture where in Daniel 1:12 it is stated that “Please test your servants for ten days, and let us be given some vegetables to eat and water to drink.” And the results were that they looked better than the king’s men. Many of modern man’s health problems can be either prevented or reversed by a vegetarian diet. Now lets be clear, white flour and sugar, though it fits in the typical category for a vegetarian diet, continues to cause health problems. A diet rich in vegetables, fruits and some grains (especially sprouted), and healthy oils, can reverse heart disease and diabetes, two of the major causes of death in the modern world. The addition of eggs and some dairy, a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet helps guarantee adequate protein in the body. The research is out there. It is easily accessible. Now it’s time for a choice. Change is never easy, but the end results can be spectacular. Are you ready to take a big step in your health? In your life? Are you ready for a paradigm shift? Thank you Pastor Sheryl.

One Spirit, One Call, Oneness Foundation

One Spirit, One Call – to serve God in one accord

I have been part of several churches and organizations throughout my 48 years of being here but I have never found TRUE BALANCE in any of them. It has always been too much to the left or too much to the right – No praising, no jumping, no hand waving, no dancing, no TV, no fun No SPEAKING IN TONGUES and a God that only punishes. Then others – Lots and lots of shouting, running, dancing, and praising like we’ll never go home and a God that is waiting for me to mess up to send me to hell. Oh yes, then there are those where all is fun, fun, fun – Lots of entertainment, no accountability, no restrain but little of God.

That was until I found myself a disciple at the Oneness Foundation. A place of love and true service to God, mankind and God’s creation.
A place where I have learned that every action has a consequence and that EVERYTHING that takes place in my life, I have birth through my thoughts and the intention of my heart. A place where I have learned about God’s compassion for mankind and creation. A God that hates sin but welcomes a heart that repents.

I have come to know God in ways I never imagined. Pastor Sheryl Walker has opened my eyes to see that God created us under the government of free will. Her cries for us to take back our minds, to awaken from the slumber, to think for ourselves and to not take things for granted have helped me gain self-confidence and boldness to stand and to defend what I believe. I love it when she says: “Choose ye. My job is to present you with truth and the rest is up to you. You choose what your life will be.”

My spiritual life has found depth and I have found freedom.

The Oneness Foundation expands beyond teachings; it presents us with a way of life that embraces and personifies ONENESS, in one accord. We take care of each other not just with prayers and good wishes. When one gets sick or is going through a season that demands more time than the ordinary or when one is taking care of sick kitties and sick loved ones, the women (and some men) show up with food and all kinds of goodies to help ease the load. This is done for as long as needed. The men see to it that the widows and the single women (especially single moms) have help with their cars, yards and even the children. People talk the talk and then back it with walking the walk.

When there is a financial need, we come together to take care of those God have placed in our lives. I am a witness and a recipient of the many times our Pastor has seen a need and has chosen not to take from the church and has opted to give from her own pocket.

Now don’t get me wrong, this is not a place for freebies; it is a place where we choose to become the true essence of oneness, following
the example of the apostles after Jesus left. My pain is my brother’s and sister’s pain. My brothers and my sisters are those who have chosen to embrace a path of love for God and all He created. A path of not only tolerance but a path where we learn about the differences in all of God’s creation and we choose to embrace it as part of God.

There is only one God and we are learning that there are many representations of Him according to nationalities and countries. We might not always agree but we are all His children and His son Jesus Christ died for each an everyone of us, NO EXCEPTIONS!.

The Passion of Love

Passion is the fuel of mankind; the creative force that either accomplishes great things or destroys depending on the intent. Pastor Sheryl Walker once taught me that there is a very fine line between love and hate. How so? Love and hate are the outward manifestations of intense passion towards something or someone. Both have the same force to either “move a mountain” or destroy it. One could even say they are of the same emotion, but with completely opposite intentions. The fine line that divides the two is simply that of a thought or a motive. Is it of “self” or “ego” or is it of selflessness?

Most people would think of themselves as fairly loving and not that selfish or self-centered, but when we are required to come out of our comfort zone or give in a way that requires us to pay a price, we may fall short of our idealistic persona. The language of a true sacrifice is not that of shedding the blood of animals or causing injury to another, but rather the shedding of one’s ego or self justification in order to see and meet the needs of others. This goes beyond our own needs of being validated and recognized even when our ego wraps these needs in the persona of caring. Pastor Sheryl would say, “Do you love with an open hand?” that is giving while expecting nothing at all in return. Although love does contain within it a reward of its own, if the action is motivated by the reward, it ceases to truly be love.

At the Oneness Foundation I have seen first hand what the power of love can accomplish when it is focused. I have seen it heal inner wounds, save lives and heal not only the recipient of love, but also the giver. If God is love, then love is the fabric that binds us together and in it is the absence of sin. What is sin then? Can it really be defined by the breaking of a set of rules or morals when those parameters are different within every religion and culture? Both love and sin transcends cultures and religions. Trans-culturally one could say that sin is really synonymous with being self centered and that love is associated with selflessness. It is the self-centered mindset that labels others and separates into a “me” (or “us”) and “them” mentality. It causes us to hurt or be intolerant of one another or fail to take action that could help a life.

The Oneness Foundation in Blaine believes that love is central to the very essence and concept of divinity. Love encompasses all things; it protects, nourishes and honors whether it be that of mother nature, God, or mankind, it looks beyond self to the bigger picture. Where there is love, there is hope and there is power. The most successful and impactful ministries of the Oneness Foundation have been those that have required the biggest personal sacrifices. These have been life-altering, both to giver and recipient. Learning what love is and becoming it is truly our goal and destiny in this evolutionary process. What is knowledge without love? It simply becomes a tool of corruption for those who are self centered and ultimately a means to our destruction. Therefore, the greatest of all attributes, is love.

Many Faiths – One Spirit

For almost 8 years I have walked this path unto enlightenment with The Oneness Foundation in Blaine, WA. One of the greatest and most precious lessons I have learned from Pastor Sheryl is tolerance and admiration for the faiths of many people. I discovered the beautiful humility and compassion of the Buddhists. I am moved so deeply by the teachings of the Sikh people. I am inspired by the poetry of the Sufi people and one of their beloved poets, Rumi . I have come to respect the intense faith AND faithfulness of peaceful Muslims. I am mystified and filled with such wonder when I ponder the depths of Kabbalah and the ways of the Essenes. The list of all that I cherish of many faiths could go on and on.

Before I became a part of the Oneness Foundation, I was ignorant, intolerant, and thought I knew it all. I judged the world around me thru the eyes of ‘righteousness’ for I believed I had the corner market on what faith was and how those that didn’t live or believe like me were in error…

Wow, was I in for an awakening as I allowed myself to let go of my prejudices! When I finally saw thru the eyes of love and truth, my facade of holiness started to crumble. When I observed people after people in different cultures and faiths with the same facial expressions of faith, hope, fear, love, and desire as I did in my faith, I began to recognize that we are the same. That perhaps God was bigger than the box I had put him in. That maybe I could worship next to a Sikh and see Love. That I could give out of compassion alongside a Buddhist and find Heaven upon earth. That just maybe, those tree-huggers that I once made jokes about had more knowledge and passion and a caring heart than I ever did. That I could sit beneath a full moon alongside a Pagan and recognize the power of the celestial bodies and see the cycles of the moon in all its glory.
And all the walls of judgments began to melt. Pastor Sheryl’s teachings showed me that what I was taught to fear as a child (the embracing of all faiths) would actually become my awakening! And you know what is the most unique about this? It has drawn me closer to that of the Christ Consciousness. I can truly see that all roads that are walked in peace and harmony with Nature, Animals, Mankind and Love truly lead to God.

One thing that Pastor Sheryl has been saying as of late is that we will be “Known by Love.” In light of that statement this is a song I have written… I sincerely pray you are blessed by it.
